Step 1 – Open Notepad as an Administrator

• click on Start menu
• Type notepad
• Right Click and choose Run as Administrator

Step 2 – Locating and Opening the Hosts File

• Inside Notepad, click on the “File” menu.
• Select the “Open“ option.
• Now, navigate to the following directory

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.file

Step 3 – Edit the Hosts File

• Enter the IP address you want to map a domain to, followed by a single space.

For example:

127.0.0.1   facebook.com

Step 4 – Save your changes.
